Welcome to the Week 19 Pabst Blue Ribbon Fishing Tournament Newsletter! Can you believe there is only 1 week left in the tournament? Where has the summer gone?

The past week has been fairly quiet in the PBR Fishing Tournament office. With so many big bass already weighed in for the boat and shore divisions, the entries are slowing down. Also as the tournament rules dictate that no fish more than 8 pounds lighter than the current 3rd placed fish will be accepted, we can only guess that you're all still catching lots, but they're just not quite big enough! We encourage entering any smaller fish into the Catch and Release Raffle.

Jeff Dunbar is a familiar face in the Evan Metropolous Catch and Release Division, he has entered 97 fish thus far in the season and is a strong advocate of releasing fish. Jeff said "I've been saltwater fishing for over 15 years and I know there is a lack of stripers out in our waters. I respect the fact that it took so long for this fish to get that big so I want to let it live another day". Jeff caught a 50" bass on September 16th, a length and girth measurement estimated it at 51 pounds, but with respect to the fish, he let it go!

Save the Date!
The official prize-giving ceremony and party will take place on October 24th at Ocean Mist in Matunuck, RI from 1pm - 4pm!

We'll have plenty of Pabst Blue Ribbon, great food provided by the Ocean Mist and lots more from all of our sponsors and partners!

Plus we'll be awarding all of the prizes and remember the first place winners in each division will take home a one of a kind trophy from Anchor Bend Glassworks. There's still time to weigh in that first place fish!
